Ernest La Rocca Jr., CCM, CCE
Prior to joining Bay Waveland Yacht Club, Ernie was the General Manager of The Ocean Club in Atlantic Beach NY and previous to that Roton Point Association in Rowayton CT. Ernie has advanced through a series of progressively senior and challenging management opportunities at several Golf and Country clubs throughout his career. Originally from Queens, NY, Ernie and his wife of 35 years, Marisa have relocated to Long Beach, MS to be closer to their four children and two grandchildren. Ernie comes to club with over 40 years of management experience.
Lauren Lizana is a New Orleans native but relocated to the Hattiesburg area
while in grade school. Her interest in cooking began in her grandparents’
kitchen, learning how to cook the food harvested from their farm. She graduated
from Sumrall High School in 2009. After attending college for a few years, she
completed an internship with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando. While living
in Orlando, her interest in cooking developed into a passion. After the
internship was complete, she got a culinary arts degree from Jones College. Her
preferred cuisine is modernized Creole and Southern with an East Asian
graduating college, she moved around the southeastern US, finally landing back
in Hattiesburg in the fall of 2013. She began working for Patio 44 in 2013, was
promoted to lead cook in 2014, corporate trainer in 2016, and finally kitchen
manager in 2018. She lives in Gulfport with her boyfriend, Gerren, and their
ball python, Iggy. When not in the kitchen, you can find her reading, watching
Bollywood movies, or taking road trips.
